Asian black bear, or Ursus thibetanus if you’re interested, is also known as the white-chested bear. The Moon Bear is a medium-sized bear that lives in the Himalayas in Asia, parts of Iran, Korea, China, Russia, Japan, and Taiwan. Unfortunately, it is on the endangered list thanks to deforestation and poaching. It really angers me that Moon Bears are still used in barbaric traditional medicines and are endangered because of these beliefs.
