This illustration was inspired by a painting done by my best friend and fellow artist, Erika Taguchi-Newton on this IGTV episode. I decided to illustrate a female warrior that would be the rider of the griffin she painted. The Sky Guard is the Captain. She guards her city with ferocity, her army rides aloft griffins.
